Your teams love to chat, and it’s also nice that you have the ability to freeze conversations from getting message replies to support announcement channels. But it would be even better to allow reactions (❤️🙏😂👍👎) on those conversations to see message engagement. Now you can!
How does it work?
Freezing a conversation
Team leaders have the ability to freeze conversations. This disables team members from adding new message replies, while leaders still can add new messages. And everyone will be able to add emoji reactions.
Here’s how to do it:
- On the Services app (iOS 6.0.23 or newer, Android 6.0.45 or newer), tap on a chat conversation header to view the details.
- From the details screen, you can freeze the conversation.
- Freezing the conversation will prevent other team members from adding message replies, but they can still add reactions (❤️🙏😂👍👎).
- Tip: toggle the Freeze conversation setting for any previously frozen conversations, in order to enable reactions.
Everyone in the conversation will now be able to add reactions! This will enable team member reactions on the Services admin side as well.
Why is this awesome?
Many of you asked for an option to post announcements or prayer request messages, while limiting member feedback to reactions to keep the chat conversations from becoming too noisy or distracting. Others wanted a way to create quick polls, having team members vote with their reaction responses. However you use this new feature, we hope it increases the connections in your teams!
