Adding and Managing Children's Curriculum
You can easily store attachments and documents for your service (like lesson plans, videos, scripts, or instructions) to Media Items. Using this feature will save you from using unnecessary file space and save you the time of uploading these files to each the plans where you need them.
Our Children's Church is going to be learning about Noah this Month
To make it easier on our volunteers I am going to upload all the pre-service materials they will need to the plan in a media file. This file can include graphics, word documents, PDF document or even internet links.
Add the Name of the Media
Make sure that your Media is easily recognizable so you can locate it afterwards and delete when it's no longer needed. I put The Series and "Lesson" in the title so I can go back and delete this Media type after this series is over to free up storage space
You won't need to specify the Media Length or Type because there will be various types attached to this Media.
Add your Support Documents to your new Media File
1. Add an Attachment
2. To upload pictures or word documents or PDF's click on Upload.
3. Click save to finalize this step
Add Songs or Videos
1. You will do this in the same manner as the above files. Simply paste your link and the "File name" will automatically be populated
2. Click Save
Continue with the steps to attach any additional items you need. (You can create Media files for a week at a time or even plan your entire month and share the files in this way)
Add the Media to your Plan
1. Click on "Add an Item" and specify Media
2. Type the name of your Media file
3. Click on the file
Add An Item
I did not set any time to this Item since it is info (I will place it at the top of my Plan for my volunteers to access.)
Click on Your Media (It will be green in Color to Show that it is Media)
You can move it to the top of your Plan so it's easier for volunteers to see.
This Lesson is now all set. The last step is that you will need to do to free up storage space is to delete the media when you are through with it
