Allowing MP3 Downloads

There are three ways to decide who can download mp3s. Each mp3 you upload has its own setting for whether or not it can be downloaded by regular users. In addition, you can change the default download setting for new mp3s and you can define which permissions can override the default and download the files regardless of their setting.

Change Download or Download Permission settings.

Change Download or Download Permission settings.
  • If Allow MP3 Downloads by Default is set to 'True', when you upload new mp3s Audio Access will be set to "Allow Download" by default.
  • The Permission to Allow MP3 Downloads setting sets who can download files even if they are set to Stream Only, and who can actually change a file and make it downloadable. If Audio Access is "Stream Only" for any file, only people with this permission or higher will be able to change it to "Allow Download", or download the file.
