Folders

A folder is a way of organizing many Service Types. Folders are generally used to organize different campuses or ministries within your church. This lesson will show you how to create, edit, reorder, move and delete folders, and also explains how to link a campus and its timezone to a folder.

Only Administrators have the ability to add and edit folders.

From the main Plans tab, hover over the "+ Service Type" button and click "Create a new folder"

  1. Name your folder. Folders are usually named after a Campus or Ministry.
  2. If your church has multiple Campuses, you can associate this folder with a campus. If not, just leave it set to "None". If you have Campuses in multiple time zones, setting the Campus here makes sure when reminder emails are sent, or users subscribe to a Calendar feed, their times are in the right timezone. (Every Service Type within the Folder uses the Folder's Campus setting.)
  3. Select the default number of plans to load when accessing the Matrix from the Matrix button next to this Folder name.

Edit an existing folder

From the main Plans tab, go into your Folder, then hover over it at the top and click the pencil.

  1. Name. Name your folder. Folders are usually named after a Campus or Ministry.
  2. Parent Folder. If you want this folder to be inside another folder, choose it here.
  3. Campus. If your church has multiple Campuses, you can associate this folder with a campus. If not, just leave it set to "None". If you have Campuses in multiple time zones, setting the Campus here makes sure when users subscribe to a Calendar feed, their times are in the right timezone, and reminder emails are sent in that timezone. (Every Service Type within the Folder uses the fFolder's Campus setting.)
  4. Matrix Options. Select the default number of plans to load when accessing the Matrix from the Matrix button next to this Folder name.
  5. Reorder Service Types. Drag the handles to the left of each Service Type up or down to reorder them in the list.

Hover over your Service Type and click the pencil that comes up.

To delete an empty folder, click on the name of the folder to enter it.
