Changing Custom Report Options
Learn how to quickly modify the Planning Center custom reports to change which categories and options are shown.
Before you get started, this video may also be helpful:
Go to planningcenteronline.com/reports
Only site administrators can edit custom reports. You can also click print anywhere in Planning Center and click the "edit custom reports" link to the right of the report chooser.
Give your report a name and choose the template you want to modify
All of the default reports created by Planning Center Online are available to edit by choosing them in the Template button. It will import the code for that report and you can change it to fit your needs.
Click Accept when you are done
Choose what to print or exclude using true and false
At the top of this report, you can see that it will not print Plan Notes because it is set to false. If you'd like to print Plan Notes, just change false to true.
Set Categories to Print
By default, when you set a section (like people) to print, it will print all people. If you don't want to print all people, or you want to print all people but in a different order, then you would need to set assign all_categories to false. Then below, you can indicate which categories you want to print in the correct order. If all_categories is set to true, then your category names and order in the report will be ignored.
Make sure you put your categories names in EXACTLY like they are titled in your plans including capitalization and spacing. If your category names aren't exact, they won't print.
