Sharing and Public Access
You can let your Facebook friends or Twitter followers know the songs that you're playing for the weekend, or allow someone who does not have a login to your Planning Center account to access a public view of the plans you've created. You can also generate special "Permalinks" that will take you to a specific plan based on a date.
Hover over the Share Button
Once your plan is ready for sharing, hover over the 'Share' button in the upper right corner of the plan. From there you will be able to choose to Enable Public Access, generate a Permalink, or Share the Worship Set with Twitter or Facebook.
View the public page
Once Public Access is Enabled, you'll have a link to view the Public page. Public pages can be viewed by anyone, even if they don't have a Planning Center login.
The Public Plan Page
If any of your songs have public attachments like Amazon, iTunes, Rdio, Spotify, Vimeo or YouTube anyone viewing this page will be able to click on the buttons below your songs to be taken to those sites to listen to those song attachments.
As an admin, you can Edit Your Service Type to determine which bits of information are displayed to the public.
Once you are on a public plan, you can copy the URL and share the link so others can access that specific public plan. You can also use Permalinks detailed below.
Clicking on twitter will bring up a dialog box with a pre-composed tweet containing all of the songs from your plan, a hashtag, and a shortened URL for the public plan. You'll be able to edit the tweet before it goes out.
Please know that Planning Center will never post anything to your Twitter without you clicking on the Share to Twitter button! We value you and your church's privacy, and we have our own Twitter and Facebook pages that we post all of our updates or information to. We won't use yours for that.
In order to share to Facebook, you must first enable Public access using the steps above. Facebook requires having a link in order for apps to share and enabling public access provides a link to a page people can click on in your Facebook post.
- Choose where this worship set is posted. You can post it to your own Timeline, or if you manage your church's Facebook page, you can post it there, instead.
- Make any comments on the post. (optional)
- Any songs are listed in the text of the link. When people click the link, they'll be taken to the public plan page.
Once you're done, click Share Link!
